MultiPlan (formerly Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS) operates one of the nation's largest preferred provider organization (PPO) healthcare networks, serving some 40 million consumers.

Short-term contract to produce reference application. Conducted initial R&D in production of a JSR-168 (portal) application utilizing client-side JavaScript framework user interface components. Portal application was based upon Apache Jetspeed2. Engineered UI components and design at both portal & portlet levels.

Coordinated with Director of Architecture, application architects and User Experience Lead in NYC development headquarters via video conference.

Client application to be a new benchmark in the healthcare claims processing lifecycle and leverages numerous innovative and novel combinations of technologies to produce an elegant solution.

Trained with Portal solution provider to facilitate initial functional rough UI prototypes.  Solidified UI requirements and conducted thorough research and documentation of applicable front-end solutions. Client did not want to use JSF/SEAM and was intent on client-side JavaScript frameworks. This presented a challenging R&D process in which I collaborated with another UI developer (NYC) to research 12 client-side JS frameworks and integrated solutions such as Backbase.
